Project status meeting template

A status meeting fails in one specific way: everybody reports, nobody records what slipped, and the same risk is raised again three weeks later as a surprise. The template exists to make late things and deferred decisions impossible to leave out.

The headings

What goes in it

1Status against the plan
2Anything now late, and by how much
3Risks and dependencies raised
4Decisions taken
5Decisions explicitly deferred, and until when

What Ledgeur goes looking for

Choose this template before you record and the on-device model reads the transcript against exactly this list.

  • status against what was planned, including anything now late
  • risks and dependencies raised
  • decisions taken, and what was explicitly deferred
  • every action item with a named owner and a date where one was given

Everything it finds still lands in the same four places: a summary, the decisions, the open questions and the action items. The template changes what it looks for, not the shape of the record, so notes from every kind of meeting stay searchable together.

Have it filled in instead

Record the meeting and Ledgeur writes these sections from what was said, with the speakers separated, on your own machine. Free for one person, permanently.
